Iran Named Guest of Honor at the Antalya Tourism Fair

From October 22 to 24, 2025, Iran participated as the Guest of Honor at the Antalya Tourism Fair (ATF25) in Turkey — one of the most significant global tourism events.
This 7th edition of ATF brought together more than 800 international exhibitors within a sprawling 25,000+ square meter exhibition space.
Hormatollah Rafiei, head of the Association of Iranian Travel Agencies, noted that the city of Antalya plays a pivotal role in Turkish tourism, accounting for 39% of Turkey’s annual tourism revenue, and emphasized that Antalya’s tourism development could serve as a benchmark for Iranian regions such as Kish, Qeshm, and Chabahar.
He added that Iran’s presence at ATF25 provides a strategic opportunity to present Iran’s tourism brand to a global audience while also countering negative narratives by showcasing the rich cultural and natural offerings of the country.
The fair featured a wide range of thematic sessions including ATF-HEALTH, ATF-TECH, ATF-SPORTS, ATF-HOTELS, ATF-MARKETS, ATF-MARKETING, and ATF-SALES, reflecting the diversity and innovation within the tourism sector.
In addition to formal activities, ATF25 also hosted social events such as “Early Party” and “After Party,” allowing industry professionals to network in a relaxed, informal environment.
According to Rafiei, Iran’s role as Guest of Honor at ATF25 is more than symbolic — it paves the way for tourism diplomacy, knowledge exchange, and stronger commercial ties. By leveraging this platform, Iranian tourism stakeholders aim to elevate Iran’s global tourism profile and foster sustainable growth.
